So I went out to see crime in stereo for the first time since is dead came out, and ive been looking forward to it. Some local bands opened up, Blue in the Face, a man/wife duet with him on guitar and her on keyboard kinda boring but alright. Up next was the band that booked the show, Breaker Breaker One Niner. They were really good and they also covered pinhead gunpowder "life during wartime". Up next was broadway calls, surprisingly awesome. all the people there knew them which surprised me.
Next up was crime in stereo, and i was excited to hear the ...Is Dead songs live finally. Set up, went on, loud as hell. Kristian jumping all over the place, but unfortunately no one was joining him. Opened with some kind of 'crime in stereo intro' and played a song i did not know....Then they went on to play XXXX, third atlantic, almost ghostless/above the gathering oceans, and ...but you are vast before sending out small skeletal to me. Finally, they had what i am assuming was the bass player from silent majority (as the tour was with polar bear club as well) come up and played what i am still assuming was a silent majority cover. it was a great set and i just wish it wasn't so short.
at that point it was midnight and as ive seen PBC a few times already i headed home. good show, would attend again.
